Hard Anodised Bakeware Loaf Tin with Rounded corners
Silverwood Loaf Tins
Silverwood makes them from the same tools that were used to make loaf tins for commercial bakeries. They are the perfect shape for crusty loaves; they consistently bake perfect loaves; and they turn out perfectly. A bakery making hundred of loaves every day wouldn’t tolerate anything less.
At home, they bake excellent loaves but they’re also great for baking cakes – tea loaves to squidgy chocolate cakes.
The loaf pans are available in 1lb and 2lb sizes. These sizes make the statutory sizes of tin loaf that a baker was allowed to sell before metrication.
They are absolutely solid, heavy gauge throughout, so there is no chance they will distort or buckle.
. Anodised aluminium alloy is one of the most efficient heat conducters known, resulting in even baking and reduced cooking times. It is extensively by caters and can never rust.
. The molecular surface of the metalis permanently changed to give and inert, scratch resistant surface which can never blister or peel under the most adverse conditions.
. Neither scratching or cutting into the surface, which can happen with a surgical steel knife or spatula, wil harm the baking performance.
. Anodising effectively seals in raw aluminium, in much the same way as a non-stick coating does. It gives easy release, easy clean properties.
