WMF 1000 Bean-to-Cup Coffee Machine (WMF 1000 + 0681206030)
WMF is one of the best-known German brands and now they have launched their first professional, fully automatic, bean-to-cup coffee machine, the WMF 1000. The WMF 1000 is very easy to use and it’s even simpler to make a perfect cup of coffee.
This bean-to-cup coffee machine has 12 programmed international coffee specialities at the push of a button. All you have to do is press on of the 4 buttons, which each have 3 more options, e.g. 1 x short, 2 x short, 1 x long, allowing you to create all your favourite coffee specialities including: espresso, cappuccino and café latte.
The WMF Profi Brewer is designed to be able to cope with up to 50 cups of coffee per day or 10,000 brewing cycles until the first maintenance. This unique piece of technology is easy to detach and remount so you can rinse it with clear water.
The WMF 1000 Bean-to-Cup Coffee Machine has a 15 bar pump pressure; forcing pressurized hot water through the coffee grounds, and then under the high pressure, the coffee flavour develops with the brewing water at 92 degrees Celsius, which ultimately extracts all the flavour out of the coffee.
There WMF 1000 has many features including:
- The coffee outlet has a continuously adjustable height (from 75 – 135mm), so you can fit anything from an espresso cup to a latte macchiato glass underneath.
- An integrated milk jet which has a lever, so you can choose if you want just milk or milk froth.
- A hot water outlet so you don’t even have to boil your kettle for a cup of tea.
- A counter reader, enabling you to see which drink is the most popular by showing you how many cups have been taken from each coffee speciality.
- The WMF 1000 will let you know via a lighted display if you need to do a cleaning or maintenance program. Don’t worry at the thought of this; most of these programs are already fully programmed into the machine so you literally just have to press a button. These 5 programmes are explained below:
– The coffee system rinsing – this activates every time you switch the machine on and off. – The milk system rinsing – a unique fully automated milk system rinsing, just plug the milk hose into the hot water tube, press the maintenance button and the milk system will be rinsed out by water and steam. This is very hygienic, easier and faster than any other coffee machine. – Cleaning the coffee machine – you should do this once a week. – Filter change – Decalcification display
This professional coffee machines stands out for its excellent constant quality grinding. The continuously adjustable 2 large grinding discs have been made by a precision milled alloy and are enclosed by cast aluminium housing.
The WMF grinders guarantee a perfect sharpness and a constant degree of grinding, so you can make your perfect coffee. There are different grinding settings so you can adjust to your preference from extra course to extra fine. However, if you want to use coffee grounds, there is a manual slot which can hold up to 1 – 2 coffee measures.
The WMF water system has 4 filter stages which prevents calcifications and provides the best quality water for your coffee; this is sufficient for up to 3 months. There are also two heating systems that ensure the set brewing temperature stays constant and that there is a sufficient amount of steam for frothing your milk.
On the front of the coffee machine, there is a power key which switches the machine on and off, as well as to cancel an operation and activate a timer.
The keys that are active are illuminated and so is the display, which is very useful; for example: it tells you when the grounds container is full (which can hold up to about 20 portions).
Beneath where your cup would usually be, there are round cromargan bars which allow any excess liquid to drip down into an easily detachable drip basin.
There is also a large cup heating plate on the top of the WMF 1000. The water tank can hold up to 2.8 litres and the beans container can hold up to 320g. However, to ensure you get the maximum flavour extracted from the beans, you should only fill the container with your daily requirement.
There are 3 function keys which have different programmable settings: – The cup size function – you can adjust the volume/size, for example when you want the same taste in a larger cup instead of a large cup of weaker coffee. – The beverage settings function – you can change the preparation of each coffee speciality, which includes: the water quantity, coffee strength, milk quantity, sequence of the output of milk and coffee and whether you want pre-brewing on or off. – The basic settings – You can change the time and date and whether you want it displayed on the display, you can also change the water hardness, water filter, brewing temperature or you can reset it back to the factory settings.
