These guide rails have been designed to help with sharpening on a whetstone. Fixed on the back of the knife these rails put the blade in the right angle for the best sharpening results. The pack comes with a small rail for smaller knives and a long rail for bigger knives.
Extensive research has shown that the optimum blade edge angle for most cutting tasks is betwen 10 and 15 degrees. These guide rails will help you to achieve this sharpening angle and get the best performance from your knives.
