Natural Olive Wood Herb Dispenser (DL001)
Olive Wood Herb Dispenser
This unique hand-crafted olive wood herb dispenser is filled with Provençal herbs, and so the mechanism grinds the herbs which then dispenses them from the base. This is often used to season grilled foods (including meat and fish) or to season roasted vegetables and pizza. The dispenser can be used for your favourite herbs as long as you make sure they’re course enough so they won’t fall through the mechanism.
There will never be two identical pieces, as each one is made from a single piece of wood from an olive tree. It is more hygienic than any other wood or plastic products because olive wood has a natural oil content that kills bacteria. The olive wood is also finished with wax and oil, ensuring any food that it comes in contact with doesn’t taint the wood.
If olive wood is looked after properly, it will last a lifetime and to ensure that it looks its best, you should never leave olive wood exposed to heat/sunshine or leave it soaking in water; you should only hand wash this item (it is not suitable for dishwasher), and to prevent the olive wood from drying out, occasionally coat it with olive oil.
